Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê (/ˈcëʃo/ /ëˈsokɘ/ [loose; easy] [bait]) is a subtropical Town located in the Nëpimtrêsë Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê was founded by Tresí Zêmegfëm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê receives an average of 216 cm/y (85 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2842 m (9324 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê was founded durring the early 15th century in fall of the year 1430, by Tresí Zêmegfëm. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Tresí Zêmegfëm.

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê is buildings are arranged within a network of spacious packed earth streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The robustly designed timber walls has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê long.

Civic Infrastructure

Cultural Notes

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is short in Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê.

The Megafauna, Archelon near Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves ritual combat to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via singing.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê was attacked by a renegade group of the army. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê lost 135 people, 250 livestock, and 22 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 173, when members of Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê's militia enacted an operation to bring aid to another fighting force. The operation was complicated by the enemy setting up an ambush. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the temple, which ended in a stalemate for Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Mêfk-ësokê Fêqê's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
